Tried and True–Some Old, Some New

Tried and True–Some Old, Some New

For interior designers inspiration comes from what we see. Visual references spark new ideas and creative solutions. So it’s no wonder we attend to-the-trade shows with great anticipation. We see new offerings from our most beloved vendors and find great new resources for our casually elegant designs. Here are a few of our favorites from the Las Vegas Market we recently attended.

Reconnecting with old friends, Seasonal Living, who offer outdoor ceramic tables and cordless lighting solutions that are unsurpassed.

Volcanic Stone Tables from Seasonal Living. Topped with amazing ceramic glazes which seep into every nook and cranny for a truly one-of-a-kind look. Custom colors are also available.

Wool and silk take the stage at Feizy. Contemporary designs with traditional materials make these rugs truly spectacular.

A classic Christopher Guy headboard. Merging Mother Nature with glamour. Genius!

And no room is complete without art and accessories. Here is a fresh collection from Wendover Art.

Tried and true, blue and white porcelain never goes out of style.  Port 68  shows off accents and lighting galore.  We love using this classic motif in modern ways.

And look! A classic tablescape sets the stage for how our new resource Moe’s Home loves to mix traditional and transitional designs for maximum wow factor.

My observations?  Glamour is coming back!  This year, we saw a definite swing back to classic design; luxurious fabrics,  fine china, classic artwork and silk rugs. All mixed with live edge tables, metal and crystal in contemporary shapes and only a touch of rustic.  Color palettes are definitley warmer while gold tones are taming down and chrome and antique silver add an element of freshness.
